Newtown Starbucks To Close For A Month

An employee said that the coffee shop on South State Street will be closed temporarily while the Eagle Road location remains open.

NEWTOWN, PA — The Starbucks at 100 South State St is closed, and will reportedly be out of commission for at least one month.

The Eagle Road location, which offers in-store and drive-thru shopping, will remain open.

Starbucks employee Ana Pearson said the closure is expected to last 4-6 weeks and that most baristas from the State Street location will work there during the closure.

"We will be training at the cafe store in town so when we open back up we will be ready to serve you better," she wrote. "Just wanted to let all the wonderful customers and friends know what’s going on."

The Starbucks at 2896 South Eagle Road expects to be fully staffed during this period, open 5 a.m. to 9 pm. on weekdays and 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekends according to the Starbucks website.
