BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Summer is just weeks away and already the heat is on. But thankfully in Bucks County we have plenty of places too cool down if it gets too hot! And that includes the local ice cream parlor.

Our friends at Visit Bucks County have put together an Ice Cream Trail featuring some of the county's ice cream destinations. Sounds like a delicious way to explore and experience Bucks County, all calories aside.

The trail include some of my favorites - the Zebra-Striped Whale, Nina's Waffles and Owowcow.

The Zebra is definitely worth a visit. I mean how many ice cream shops have been inspired by a book? Stop by and learn all about the Zebra-Striped Whale and how it came to be. And while you're there, order a crepe to enjoy or a hand-whirled ice cream treat.

Of course, there's nothing like a Nina's Waffle. It reminds me of visits to the amusement park when I was a kid and ordering an ice cream waffle sandwich. What a joy.

And then there's Owowcow. First of all, you've got to love the name. It has to rank up there as one of the best names for an ice cream shop. And their ice cream is equally impressive and eating it can only be described as the quintessential Bucks County experience.

Here are this year's stops on the Bucks County Ice Cream Trail. The commentary is provided by our friends at Visit Bucks County:
