Join the Youth Orchestra of Bucks County for our 2022-2023 season! YOBC is currently accepting applications from students in Bucks County and the surrounding areas. Students must be in grades 3 - 12 and participate in their school instrumental music program to be eligible. All brass, woodwind, string, and percussion instruments are included in YOBC programs. Interested students are invited to audition in person on May 21 or May 22, or submit a pre-recorded audition video. Audition requirements and application information can be found at yobc.org.

The YOBC season includes weekly Sunday afternoon rehearsals in Newtown, as well as two annual concerts, various workshops, and visits from renowned guest soloists. Based on level of mastery, students are placed in one of YOBC’s 7 core ensembles, which includes 2 full orchestras, 2 concert bands, and 3 string orchestras. With these progressive ensembles there is a place for younger musicians who are new to ensemble playing, developing students who are refining their skills, and advanced players ready for a challenging and rewarding experience. All YOBC ensembles receive instruction from some of the top conductors and educators in the area!

YOBC also offers students opportunities for peer mentoring and leadership, chamber ensembles, performance opportunities, and professionally run masterclasses with Philadelphia Orchestra musicians. Advanced YOBC musicians and their families can join our international performance tours, scheduled every other summer. This summer YOBC will be traveling on tour to Tuscany & The Italian Lakes!
