Newtown Township To Host Summer Playground Program For Kids

Camps may be canceled but Newtown Township is offering one place for social interaction and outdoor fun this summer.

NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — Camps may be canceled but Newtown Township is offering one place for social interaction and outdoor fun this summer.

The township has organized a "Playground Fun" program for children in grades 1 through 6.

The half-day program will be held outdoors for six weeks starting on July 6 and running through Aug. 14. You can pick and choose weeks, or participate in all six weeks.

"Come and enjoy the park with your pals," according to a program description from the township Parks and Recreation Department. The program will feature crafts, sports, games, and playground time.

For children in grades 1 to 3, the program will be held at Roberts Ridge Park from 9 a.m. to noon. Children in 4 to 6 grade will meet at Veterans Park from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
