Newtown's Touch A Truck Returns After Pandemic Hiatus

Construction vehicles, a postal truck, and a helicopter will be on the scene Thursday — plus a food truck for some refreshment.

NEWTOWN, PA — Kids who want to sit in the drivers' seat of a firetruck, dump truck, or helicopter will get their chance this April, as Newtown Township's Touch a Truck is returning for the first time since 2019.

The event on Thursday will feature vehicles from Newtown Township police, emergency services, public works, Leck Waste Services, SEPTA, USPS, and even more local agencies.

Plus, there will even be a food truck.

"This is a great event for the community to see up close all of the hardworking vehicles that they may see driving through town," he said. "It is not everyday children can sit inside a firetruck, postal vehicle, dump truck or even a helicopter!"

He added, "This is also a great way for us and other township departments and businesses to get into the community and say hello."

Touch a Truck will take place at Veterans Park, 234 Durham Rd on Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
