Ryan Arcidiacono, Former St. Andrew School Student, Signs NBA Deal

​Ryan Arcidiacono, a former St. Andrew School student, has signed a deal with the San Antonio Spurs.

Ryan Arcidiacono, a former St. Andrew School student and member of Villanova's championship-winning basketball team, has signed a deal with the San Antonio Spurs.

Arcidiacono was not selected in Thursday's NBA draft but later signed a deal with the Texas team, according to NBC10.

Villanova Coach Jay Wright confirmed it on Twitter.

St. Andrew School, a private Catholic elementary school in Newtown, enthusiastically encouraged the 2008 graduate on social media as his team progressed through the NCAA tournament in March and April.

On March 30, the local school even shared an image of his middle school yearbook, which included career hopes and a quote. Not surprisingly, Arcidiacono said he wanted to be an NBA player. His dream has come true.

Arcidiacono, a Langhorne resident, went on to play for Neshaminy High School.
