NEWTOWN, PA — With sirens sounding, firefighters from Newtown Fire and Rescue will be ushering Santa through town this weekend.

Due to the lack of snow, Santa will be trading his sleigh for a fire truck ride. He'll be climbing aboard a fire truck for this year's Santa Run on Saturday, Dec. 23 while giving his reindeer a chance to graze over at Tyler State Park and rest up for their Christmas ride.

From 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Newtown Fire and Rescue will be driving Santa through Newtown Borough and Newtown Township.
