'Wheat And Sheep' Day Brings Colonial Life To Washington Crossing

WASHINGTON CROSSING, PA — An upcoming event at Washington Crossing Historic Park will give attendees a taste of colonial living.

From noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, the park will host "Wheat & Sheep Day" at the park's Thompson-Neely House & Farmstead.

You'll be able to see park sheep being shorn of their winter wool coats, a milling demonstration in the restored Thompson-Neeley Grist Mill, colonial-style pancake making, barrel making, fleece being turned into textiles, and a tour of the historic Thompson-Neely House.

Admission costs $8 for adults, $4 for children five to 11 years old, and free for kids under five.

Price includes admission to Bowman’s Hill Tower and a tour of the park’s historic village.

The Thompson-Neely House & Farmstead is located at 1638 River Road in Solebury Township, at the intersection of Route 32 and Aquetong Road.
