PITTSBURGH, PA — Two window washers had a scary experience Friday when they became trapped on a stalled scaffolding platform outside of the BNY Mellon building Downtown.

Pittsburgh EMS, firefighters, and police responded arrived on the scene around 11:35 a.m. They confirmed that the workers became stuck on the Ross Street side of the building between the seventh and eighth floors when the platform lost power.

Paramedics and engineers went to the roof of the 55-story building and over the next 60 minutes engineers were able to reset the system and bring the window washers safely up to the roof. The workers were uninjured.
