Ocean State Job Lot's Pottstown Location Under Construction

POTTSTOWN, PA — A new location of Ocean State Job Lot, the discount retail giant, is under construction and will open in Pottstown by the end of the year.

The 39,621 square foot store will be located on 799 N. State Street in the Pottstown Plaza. It will share part of the space vacated by the old Giant supermarket, which is only partially taken up by Grocery Outlet.

Other neighbors include Tractor Supply, Goodwill, Domino's, and Applebee's.

The store will be the chain's second in Montgomery County, along with Montgomeryville. It's the 11th in Pennsylvania and 153rd in the northeast.

“Since opening our first store in the Commonwealth just five years ago, we have been embraced by Pennsylvanians, who have come to rely on us for a big, bright, friendly and value-focused shopping experience," John Brown, district team leader for Ocean State Job Lot, said in a statement. "We can’t wait to open our doors in Pottstown later this year."

The store offers a wide variety of apparel, household goods, lawn and pool products, beach supplies, pet supplies, food, and more.

The store said they will begin hiring later this summer for all positions.
