Why do you believe the star student athlete should be recognized?
Jayla is a straight A, honor roll student at CAPA (Creative and Performing Arts) while playing on the Varsity Girls' Volleyball team. She served as the Captain of the JV team at CAPA and she has been on a volleyball team every year since she started playing in grade school. She also is a PA Youth Vote Ambassador and a member of Student Council. She has taken various Advanced Placement courses as well. Jayla enjoys being a youth vote ambassador because she believes that civic participation is key for ensuring a better world. She also enjoys being on student council at her school because it is an opportunity to enrich the life of her fellow students.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star student athlete?
Jayla is just an amazing and inspiring young adult. She is never afraid to stand up for what is right and she's always ready to speak out against bullying of any kind. Jayla is a loyal and loving to all of her family members and friends. No matter how stressful life as an honor student and athlete has been at times, she just kept her head up and pushed through the challenges that came her way. Her enthusiasm for both volleyball and visual arts, which is her major, is truly inspiring. She plan to continue following her love of the arts in college.

Keep up the great work, Jayla 12th grade!
