99-Year-Old Berwyn Woman Passes Away

Viola M. (nee Corvacchiola) Tartaglio, age 99, of Berwyn passed away peacefully at Highgate at Paoli Pointe on October 31, 2016. Wife of the late Luigi Tartaglio.

Mrs. Tartaglio was born in Minersville, PA then at the age of two she & her family moved back to Italy in 1919 to the town of Lama Dei Peligni. There she worked as a seamstress and at the age of 18 became engaged to Luigi Tartaglio and married at the age of 19; they were married for 67 years. Viola is survived by 3 children; Joseph (Patricia) Tartaglio, Mary (Stan) Leon and Anthony Tartaglio. Also 8 grandchildren; Robert & Sandra Leon, Joseph & Thomas Tartaglio, Mathew, Lisa, Daniel and Paul Tartaglio and 6 great grandchildren; Phoebe, Chloe and Finn Leon, Ethan & Sydney Tartaglio and Giavanna Tartaglio.

Sister to the late Anthony Corvacchiola. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Friday, Nov.4th at 2:00 pm at Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Strafford. Interment OLA churchyard. Viewing Friday afternoon from 1:00-2:00pm in the Sacred Heart Chapel in OLA Church. Memorial Contributions may be made to OLA Church, 35 Old Eagle School Rd.
