Berwyn Native, World Adventurer Passes Away

"A kind, gentle soul...an accomplished horseman with a strong affection for being on the water."

William Richard McNerney, formerly of Berwyn William (Bill) Richard McNerney – returned home to God on December 1, 2015. He was an accomplished horseman who loved life to the utmost.

He had a strong affection for being on the water whether sailing, fishing or riding waves.

Bill had a great sense of humor and enjoyed a good laugh. He was a gentle, kind soul who will be dearly missed by his family.

Bill was born to the late John T. McNerney and Madeline Flood. He was raised in Berwyn and attended Malvern Prep. He later earned a degree in Industrial Engineering from Villanova University.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Barbara W. Weil, his four siblings Peggy Quinn, Madelyn Evans, Jack McNerney and Carol Pusey; his three children William Richard, Kathleen Ann and Brandon Patrick William; his four grandchildren Leif Eric, Brendan David, Dylan Grace and Dean William and many extended family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a service to celebrate Bill’s life on December 19th at the Main Line Unitarian Church at 1:00 PM. 816 S. Valley Forge Road, Devon, PA 19333.
