Big Blue Swim School Opens Monday In Paoli

Big Blue is a children's swim school for children three months to 12 years old.

PAOLI, PA – Olympic Medalist Kristy Kowal and her family are opening Big Blue Swim School for children on Monday, Oct. 9 at 82 East Lancaster Ave., Paoli.

The Paoli Chamber of Commerce will present Big Blue Swim School to the community with a formal ribbon cutting at 1 p.m.

“Opening a Big Blue is an opportunity for me to share the importance of swimming as a life-saving skill while passing down my love of the water to new swimmers,” said silver medalist Kowal, who is opening the school with her brother, Keith Kowal and his wife, Erica.

Kristy Kowal, 44, represented the United States in the 2000 Summer Olympics, winning the silver medal in the 200-meter breaststroke.

Big Blue Swim School offers weekly, year-round 30 to 45-minute swim lessons for children beginning at three months old, seven days a week.

The pool has 90-degree, ultra-clean water, a comfortable viewing area to keep an eye on swimmers; private changing rooms, fall-proof, antimicrobial flooring throughout the facility, free Wi-Fi and parking.

On opening day, families can take advantage of a special rate of $25 for four swim lessons.
