Chester County Coronavirus Cases Continue Downward Trend

CHESTER COUNTY, PA – Confirmed cases of COVID-19 continue to decrease, as the most recent data show 66 fewer cases over the last seven days compared to the previous seven days.

According to newly published health data, test positivity over the past seven days has been 2.9 percent.

There has also been a decrease of 11.6 percent in the number of daily COVID-19 hospitalizations, with an .08 percent decrease in COVID-19 patients on ventilators.

To date there have been 36,628 COVID-19 cases in Chester County, with 794 COVID-19 related deaths. There is a 92.78 percent recovery rate in the county.

Statewide, there have been 3,003 fewer confirmed cases, with a decrease of 352.3 daily hospitalizations.

  • Under 10: 1,678 cases
  • 10-19: 5,699 cases
  • 20-29: 6,654 cases
  • 30-39: 4,890 cases
  • 40-49: 4,754 cases
  • 50-59: 5,561 cases
  • 60-69: 3,635 cases
  • 70-79: 1,815 cases
  • 80+: 1,942 cases

  • Kennett Square Borough: 10.8%, 670 cases, 6 deaths
  • Avondale Borough: 9.82%, 138 cases, 3 deaths
  • London Grove Township: 9.57%, 845 cases, 21 deaths
  • Oxford Borough: 9.37%, 517 cases, 31 deaths
  • West Grove Borough: 9.21%, 262 cases, 3 deaths
  • South Coatesville Borough: 9.2%, 132 cases, 2 deaths
  • Atglen Borough: 8.96%, 119 cases
  • City of Coatesville: 8.94%, 1,168 cases, 20 deaths
  • Penn Township: 8.54%, 665 cases, 22 deaths
  • Caln Township: 7.31%, 1,186 cases, 36 deaths
