Chesterbrook PECO Outages Begin Tuesday, Last Through Dec 14

Starting Tuesday, Dec. 3, periodic outages will affect certain developments in Chesterbrook as PECO transitions to a new power grid.

CHESTERBROOK, PA — Power outages in Tredyffrin's Chesterbrook neighborhood will begin seeing rolling PECO outages due to the utility provider's transition to a new power grid.

Starting Tuesday, Dec. 3, periodic outages will affect certain developments in Chesterbrook.

The following are the developments that will be affected per outage:

  • Tuesday, Dec. 3 — eight hours, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
    • Areas: Fox Hollow, Signal Hill, Quarters West, Landmark, Main Street Village, Bradford Hills, Bradford Crossing
  • Thursday, Dec. 5 — eight hours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
    • Areas: Eagle's Ridge, Valley Stream Village, Valley Stream Village II, Stirling Chase
  • Saturday, Dec. 7 through Sunday, Dec. 8 — eight hours at night from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
    • Areas: The Paddock, Painters Lane, Along with Chesterbrook Day Care Center, Picket Post Swim Club, and Shopping Center at 500 Chesterbrook Boulevard.
  • Tuesday, Dec. 10 — eight hours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
    • Areas: Cheswold Village, Forge Mountain
  • Thursday, Dec. 12 — eight hours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
    • Areas: Mountain View, Sullivan's Bridge, The Ponds, The Quarters
  • Saturday, Dec. 14 — eight hours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
    • Areas: Knoxbridge, Duportail Village, Newport, Green Hills, Tredyffrin Township Municipal Authority, Chesterbrook Pumping Station

Springdell Village, Embassy Court, Le Forge, The Ridings, Picket Post, Greystone will not experience a service interruption since they can be fed from another direction during the outage.

Parkview's outage is split between the Dec. 12 outage and the Dec. 14 outage, aside from the Shopping Center outage scheduled for Dec. 10.

Customers will have two weeks to make arrangements for the day their outage is scheduled.

PECO will make every effort to keep the outages to a minimum and the outages could be less than the window of time in the notifications, according to the township.

The township recommends residents visit Tredyffrin Public Libraries to keep warm and pass the time during outages.
