Conestoga Sailing Team Wins Fall Regatta Series

BERWYN, PA — Conestoga High School's sailing team earned top honors recently for its showing in the Fall 2019 Regatta.

The Main Line Scholastic Sailing Association recently held its fall season awards banquet at the Corinthian Yacht Club of Philadelphia in Essington.

At the banquet, Conestoga High School was awarded the Fall 2019 Regatta Title after edging out Villa Joseph Marie and Malvern Prep.

Conestoga was led by skippers Garrett Roach and Charlie McKenzie and crew members Justin Roach and Emily Dougherty.

In addition, Megan Thomas placed second in the Open Fleet Series.

The whole team consists of Connor Demming, Co-captain Justin Roach, Emily Dougherty, Charlie McKenzie, Co-captain Garrett Roach, Cormac Drennan, Yusef Tohamy, Briana Hummel, JP Small, Megan Thomas, Maggie Dirkes, Zach Jones and Jack Kelly, and Robert Lariviere.
