Darby Watershed Cleanup Event In Devon Planned For Saturday Morning

By cleaning the watershed of litter and debris, volunteers can have a positive impact on downstream communities and wildlife habitats.

DEVON, PA — Community members are invited to help keep Darby Creek healthy at a cleanup event this weekend.

The Darby Creek Valley Association is hosting its 40th Annual Darby Watershed Cleanup.

The cleanup effort will take place from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at Hilltop Park, 566 Beaumont Road in Devon.

Volunteers will meet at Hilltop Park at 9 a.m. for a continental breakfast, access to restrooms, and waiver signing.

State Rep. Melissa Shusterman and Easttown Township Board of Supervisors Chair Erik Unger may also deliver brief remarks.

Afterward, groups will be assigned to different parts of Sharps Woods and disperse to those sites.

Site Captains are Cara Rash, Radha Pyati, and Kate Doms.
