Easttown Police Search for Assault Suspect

Officers say Jonathan Jacob Vennell attacked emergency responders attempting to assist him earlier this month.

A Philadelphia man is wanted by the Easttown Township Police Department following an alleged assault against officers and EMS workers earlier this month.

According to the department’s Facebook page, an active arrest warrant has been issued for Jonathan Jacob Vennell for multiple counts of aggravated assault on police and related offenses.

On June 2, EMS and police attempted to help an unconscious Vennell when he woke up and began to attack the responders, yelling that he hated cops, according to Main Line Media News. The officers managed to transport Vennell to Paoli Hospital, but he was released a few days later.

Vennell has multiple addresses in the Philadelphia area, according to the Easttown Police Department. Law enforcement officers or persons who come in contact with the suspect are urged to use caution.
