Groundbreaking At Berwyn Fire Co Postponed Due To Wet Forecast

Storms and rain are predicted for Saturday, so officials have rescheduled the Berwyn Fire Company's groundbreaking ceremony.

BERWYN, PA — With wet weather in Saturday's forecast, officials have rescheduled the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Berwyn Fire Company station.

Now, the event will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday at 23 Bridge Ave. in Berwyn.

Representatives from the Tredyffrin Township Board of Supervisors, Easttown Township Board of Supervisors, along with other project supporters will be in attendance.

Those who plan to attend the historic moment should park in the lot at First and Bridge avenues and should not block any sheds or storage container doors on the outskirts of the lot.

A shuttle will be available starting at 9:20 a.m.

Attendees can also park at the parking deck above the Berwyn Primary Shops at 802 Lancaster Ave. Access to the lot is available from Central Avenue.

Handicap parking will be available between 737 Berwyn Ave. and 743 Berwyn Ave.

Bridge Avenue will be closed right in front of the fire station during the ceremony.

Light refreshments will be provided by Perfect Setting Catering.
