MAIN LINE, PA — Several inches of snow could drop on the Main Line overnight Thursday into Friday, according to the fastest forecast.

The National Weather Service predicts as much as 6 inches of snow accumulation and as little as 3 inches in the area in the next day.

  • Thursday night: A chance of rain and snow before 11 p.m., then snow. Low around 28. West wind around 5 miles per hour, becoming north after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.
  • Friday: Snow likely, mainly before 8 a.m. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 34. West wind 10 to 15 miles per hour, with gusts as high as 25 miles per hour. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
  • Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 19. Northwest wind 5 to 15 miles per hour.
  • Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 33. Northwest wind around 5 miles per hour, becoming calm in the afternoon.
  • Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 22.
