Obituary: Mary Lou Honcharski, Mother Of Five Dies At 93

Mary Louise Honcharski of Ardmore and Berwyn was born on January 30, 1925 and passed away peacefully on July 17, 2018. Daughter of Octavia and Eugene Kuntz, Mary Lou grew up on Cricket Avenue in a bucolic childhood of home grown vegetables, fresh raspberries and zucchini, and a rich French heritage. Mary Lou married Edward Honcharski and together they had five children; Edward Allen Honcharski, Robert Charles Honcharski, Susan Irene Mathison, Joann Marie Webster and Anne Margaret Tirbaso. She was Grandmother to nine grandchildren. Mary Lou was a world-class seamstress, a craft she learned from her mother Octavia. She was a devoted Catholic and found great joy in singing for years in the St. Denis choir. In later years, Mary Lou lived in Berwyn.

A funeral service will be held in her honor on Friday, August 10 at 11:00 AM at St. Denis Church, Eagle Road, Havertown, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mary Lou’s name to the St. Denis Choir.
