In September 2022, Republic Services halted residential trash collection in Tredyffrin.

Two trash haulers, A.J. Blosenski and Whitetail Disposal are still collecting trash.

Status of local haulers

Whitetail has notified the township Wednesday that the company will continue to pick up trash for customers until the end of the year.

The company plans to bill to customers at the end of September for four months and a $25 removal fee. The $25 fee will be credited if necessary.

A.J. Blosenski issued a statement apologizing for the interruptions. The company said it is evaluating routes and hosting hiring events.

Trash problems elsewhere

Tredyffrin is not the only municipality plagued with trash collection problems.

East Whiteland Township has issued citations to Blosenski for multiple and continued violations of the township solid waste and recycling code.

The citations pertain to a lack of consistent residential waste and recycling collection services.

State Rep. Joe Ciresi, who represents western Montgomery County include Limerick, Pottstown, and Royersford, said there are problems with trash collection pickups in his district.

Ciresi said he plans to ask the state Democratic Policy Committee to host hearings to see what can been done about the trash collection problem.

Ciresi, who resides in Limerick, said there are no plans to have municipal trash collection. The township has a population of 20,458 residents and covers 22 square miles.

Ciresi said that A.J. Blosenski has not been picking up on time in Limerick.

"They aren't picking up our trash," he said.
