Tredyffrin Library Hosting College Essay Writing Workshop

Former chairperson of the Conestoga High School English Department Marylyn E. Calabrese, PhD will lead the workshops in June and July.

STRAFFORD, PA – The Tredyffrin Library wants to help your college-bound kid ace their college essay by hosting an essay-writing workshop series in June and July.

Former chairperson of the Conestoga High School English Department Marylyn E. Calabrese, PhD, writing coach and teacher, will lead the workshops this summer.

There are two sessions, each with multiple dates, for the workshop.

Session 1 will take place from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Friday, June 15 and Monday, June 18. Session 2 will take place from noon to 3 p.m., Monday, July 9 through Thursday, July 12.

Calabrese's educational background includes an A.B. from Bryn Mawr College, an MAT from Wesleyan University, and a PhD in Teaching Writing from the University of Pennsylvania.

The cost is $150 for the first session and $200 for the second.

All proceeds go to the Tredyffrin Library.
