Tredyffrin Twp. Concert Series Continues, With Social Distancing

CHESTERBROOK, PA — Tredyffrin Township Parks and Recreation is aiming to continue its summer concert series, but with social distancing guidelines in place. Township spokesperson Hilliary Mallory said the township will post signs saying that masks are required. She said visitors will be expected to keep a distance of six feet apart as they enjoy the musical performances at Wilson Farm Park.

Swing That Cat will take the Shire Pavilion stage at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 9.

Wilson Farm Park offers a large space for the concerts, large enough for an audience to maintain social distance. Mallory said listeners will have to keep their distance from the stage, which will be closed off to the audience. "There will be no dancing, either," she said.

"If people are not feeling well, we ask, of course, that they please stay home," Mallory said.

An event scheduled for June 25, the Tim Williams Band, has been rescheduled for September 19. The Chester County Concert Band had to cancel its July 4 performance in the concert series. Mallory explained that it was a very large band and that made for too many issues related to distancing safety.

But, with those limitations and social distancing measures in place, the summer concert series
dates remain in place, weather permitting. The concerts are free to the public. Gold sponsors of the concert series are Main Line Heath, Paoli Hospital and Rubenstein Partners. Mallory thanked them and the other community event sponsors.

Concerts begin at 7 p.m. at the Shire Pavilion at Wilson Farm Park, unless otherwise noted on the township's website.

July 23 - Chico's Vibe

July 30 - Legacy Band

September 19 - Tim Williams Band @ 5 p.m.
