Volunteers Wanted: Pickelball Tournament At Upper Main Line YMCA

The professional tournament is scheduled from Wednesday, Aug. 24 to Saturday, Aug. 29 at the YMCA in Berwyn

BERWYN, PA — The YMCA of Greater Brandywine is set to welcome pickleball players from across the nation to the Upper Main Line YMCA for the 2023 Associate of Pickleball Players, Philadelphia, which runs from Wednesday, Aug. 23 to Saturday, Aug. 27.

The tour has 16 stops across the nation. Professional and amateur pickleball players from across the nation will compete in the tournament. Dozens of volunteers will help out with the tournament.

“They love the game and are looking forward to welcoming players from across the country to their home courts,” Laura Milazzo Mackiewicz, director of volunteer engagement at the Brandywine YMCA, said. “It’s an exciting opportunity.”

Volunteers will help direct players and spectators from across the country and will receive a T-shirt, refreshments and complimentary grounds pass to watch tournament play on the day of their shift. Tickets are available here. Volunteers can sign-up here.
