TREDYFFRIN TOWNSHIP, PA — October is quickly coming to an end, and time is almost up to get the best pumpkin at a local patch for Halloween.

An annual trip to a Chesco pumpkin patch is a fall pastime for many families. Fields often have free activities such as corn mazes, hayrides, and apple cider tastings.

Visiting an outdoor pumpkin patch is pretty safe, but mask and social distancing guidelines and hours of operation may change. Before you go, it’s best to call ahead to the field or check its website.

A Patch editor's favorite is Milky Way Farm in Chester Springs because of its creamery, serving delicious ice cream to visitors after they've toured the farm and picked their pumpkins. Milky Way Farm is open this weekend and said on social media that even in an extra rainy growing season, the pumpkin harvest did all right this year.
