Young Wayne Actor Performs in Disney's "The Little Mermaid"

Declan MacDonald of Wayne, PA will dive 'Under the Sea' as part of the ensemble of Disney's "The Little Mermaid" at Walnut Street Theatre

Declan MacDonald performs on the Walnut Mainstage in the ensemble of Disney’s The Little Mermaid playing now through January 2, 2022.

Based on the beloved Hans Christian Andersen story and the classic film, Disney’s The Little Mermaid is the hauntingly beautiful story of Ariel, who dreams of finding her own way in the world above the sea. Featuring unforgettable songs such as "Under the Sea," "Kiss the Girl" and "Part of Your World," Disney’s The Little Mermaid promises to be one of the most spectacular productions ever staged at the Walnut!

Declan MacDonald is a seventh grader at Tredyffrin/Easttown Middle School and studies and performs at ContempraDance School in Wayne, Community Through Song in King of Prussia, and Wolf Performing Arts Center in Bryn Mawr. He makes his Walnut debut with The Little Mermaid.

MacDonald studied in the United Kingdom for a year where he studied at TheatreTrain Performance Arts School and performed with the Cambridge University Clare Hall Choir. He is passionate about tap dancing and dreams of one day performing on Broadway.
