EASTERN PENNSYLVANIA, PA —Grease is the word in Bucks County with the play from the popular movie at the Bucks County Playhouse. It's also the last weekend for Musikfest in the Lehigh Valley.

Meanwhile, one of the Philadelphia region's oldest festivals wraps up. Come for the pizza frittes.

St. Ann Carnival and Italian Festival Closing Out Run

One of Lower Bucks County's favorite carnivals will end its six-day run on Saturday, August 10. The St. Ann Carnival and Italian Festival features rides, carnival games and prizes, bingo, basket auctions, Italian music, and plenty of homemade Italian food, including pizza fritte, sausage and meatball sandwiches, clams, Italian baked goods, and more. The event is open from 6-10 p.m. and is held on the St. Ann's Church grounds on Pond Street and Dorrance Street in Bristol. (Read More On Patch)

Musikfest Wrapping Up Last Weekend In Lehigh Valley

Since 1984, Musikfest has drawn thousands to the Lehigh Valley for a festival celebrating German roots. It begins on the first Friday in August in Bethlehem and ends the second Sunday thereafter. Come for the food and the booths and the drink. And of course the music. ZZ Top tops the bill of acts coming to Steel Stage. This is the festival's last weekend. Click here for more information.

This is the perfect weekend to head over to Peddler's Village in Lahaska to see the amazing sand sculptures on view through August 31. Pierogi Fest, Hip Hop Top Philly Weekend Events

The summer festivities keep on keepin’ on with the illuminated Philadelphia Obon Festival at Shofuso Japanese Cultural Center (Saturday), the tasty Port Richmond Pierogi Fest (Saturday), the old-school Hip Hop in the Park at The Oval (Saturday) or the cinematic Arte en las Calles at Esperanza Arts Center (Saturday). Plus, music is in the air with big-name performances like Missy Elliott featuring Ciara, Busta Rhymes, and Timbaland at the Wells Fargo Center (Monday), Zach Bryan at Lincoln Financial Field (Tuesday and Wednesday,) and Green Day at Citizens Bank Park (Friday). "Grease" Is The Word At The Bucks County Playhouse

“Grease,” one of world’s most popular Broadway musicals, will heat up the Bucks CountyPlayhouse stage in an all-new production, August 9 to September 8. Hunter Foster, who appeared in the original Broadway cast of the long-running, 1994 revival of the show, will direct and Alison Solomon, who most recently choreographed the national tour of “Charlie and the ChocolateFactory,” will choreograph.
