EASTERN PENNSYLVANIA, PA —The Folk Festival is back. The Middletown Grange Fair wraps up its five-day run on Sunday. And go and check out the lanterns.

There are plenty of events as The Dog Days of Summer wind down with people soaking up the sun during the final weeks of the "unofficial" end of summer with the start of school and the Labor Day holiday weekend.

Middletown Grange Fair 2024: Dates, Hours, Schedule

The Middletown Grange Fair wraps up its five-day run continuing a tradition dating back to 1948. This year’s fair runs through Sunday at the fairgrounds on Penns Park Road in Wrightstown where thousands are expected to visit Bucks County’s premier agricultural fair. (Read More On Patch)

Chinese Lantern Festival In Philly's Franklin Square Extended

Philadelphia's annual Chinese Lantern Festival has been extended through the month's end, according to organizers. Historic Philadelphia Inc. announced the popular festival will run through Saturday, Aug. 31, now. Located in Franklin Square, the two-week extension will allow guests who have been impacted by the summer’s weather to still enjoy the spectacular festival of light and culture, organizers said. New Circus Performance Arrives At Snipes Farm

The circus has come to town. And it's the only stop for this circus in Pennsylvania. Snipes Farm and Education Center will host its first show on Thursday night with four more shows planned through Sunday. The Brooklyn-based Hideaway Circus’s “Canvas Sky” performance is family-friendly entertainment at its best at the center at 890 W. Bridge St. (Read More On Patch)

Upper Bucks Brewfest Offers Suds And Sun

Gates open at 12:45 pm for VIP-only guests; 2:00 pm gates open for general admission and designated drivers. There will be live music by Philadelphia Funk Authority and a cornhole tournament, as well as raffles, craft vendors, and food vendors besides craft brews. This event is for those 21 years and older. No children or pets will be allowed. The Brewfest is Saturday at The Park at 4th in Quakertown. Prices vary. Click here for more information.

Legendary Philadelphia Folk Festival Returns To Montco

The legendary Philadelphia Folk Festival, one of the oldest continuously operating music events in the United States, is returning to Montgomery County this weekend after a year off in 2023. The Philadelphia Folksong Society is collaborating with Xtreme Folk Scene to bring the event back to Old Pool Farm in Upper Salford. It runs through Sunday. (Read More On Patch)

Revolutionary War Re-Enactment At Moland House

Join the Warwick Township Historical Society at the annual reenactment of the August 1777 Neshaminy Encampment. They will be commemorating George Washington and all the men and women of the American Revolution who fought for our independence with the First Crossing Volunteer Regiment and other reenactors engaging in skirmishes and representations of colonial life on Saturday at the Historic Moland House.
