Longtime Philly Meteorologist Leaving Action News

A longtime meteorologist in Philadelphia will be leaving the station after more than a dozen years of delivering weather reports. 6ABC Action News meteorologist Chris Sowers says he will be leaving the station. "A huge opportunity has presented itself and I will be joining the talented WPTV weather team in West Palm Beach, Florida in October," he said in an online post on social media. New Details Emerge In Bucks Co. Double Murder-Suicide

A father shot and killed his wife and his son before turning the gun on himself Monday in a double homicide and suicide in Buckingham Township, officials have confirmed. Attempted Murder, More Charges Filed In Delco Road Rage Shooting

A Drexel Hill man has been charged with attempted homicide and related crimes after police said he fired more than a dozen shots at a vehicle Monday, injuring the driver and endangering a juvenile passenger. The road rage incident unfolded at 3:26 p.m. Monday on the 2000 block of West Chester Pike in Havertown, Haverford Township Police said. (Read More On Patch)

Doylestown Restaurant Sets The Scene For TV Docudrama

A film crew took over Chambers 19 Bistro and Bar in the heart of Doylestown Borough in late July to shoot scenes for a four-part series that tells the untold story of George Marquardt, “The Godfather of Fentanyl.” In the early 1990s, the self-taught chemist from the Mid-West created fentanyl, a street drug that became widespread and was linked to hundreds of deaths on the East Coast.
