St. John Bosco Church Vandalism, Strangulation: Warminster Crimes

WARMINSTER, PA —A church was vandalized and strangulation was among the criminal incidents in the Warminster Township Police Department's blotter for June.

These are the criminal incidents:

  • Police responded to St. John Bosco Church for vandalism. Cameras had observed a mane spray paint graffiti in the parking lot. The 45-year-old mane was later identified and cited for Institutional Vandalism, Criminal Mischief, and other charges.
  • Officers were dispatched to Walmart on Street Road for a theft in progress. A 37-year-old male was observed leaving Walmart with a bag of stolen items. The man left Walmart on foot and was walking down Jacksonville Road. Officers saw a man fitting the description that was given by Walmart employees. Officers saw the man walking with a blue Walmart bag and stopped him. The male was cited for Retail Theft.
  • The principal of William Tennent High School phoned Bucks County Dispatch and requested an officer come to the school to file a report as the bus driver had given his phone number to a juvenile student. The 64-year-old man was cited for Disorderly Conduct.
  • Officers were dispatched to Jacksonville Road and Vanhorn Drive for the report of a two-vehicle accident. A SEPTA bus and a utility pole were both struck. a 34-year-old man was the driver of the vehicle, and it was determined that he was intoxicated. The man was taken to Doylestown Hospital where he consented to have blood drawn. The man was cited for DUI and transported home by a friend.
  • An employee of Flagship Oral Surgery on York Road came into police headquarters to file a Police Report as someone had given them a counterfeit $100 bill for payment. The $100 bill was flagged by the bank and returned to the business to file a report with the Police.
  • Officers responded to Giant Food Store for a report of a retail theft in progress. The dispatcher advised that the 32-year-old woman left the store and was headed in the direction of Van's Auto Tags. When police arrived, they found the woman hiding in the bushes. The woman was apprehended and cited for retail theft.
  • Officers were called to the 1400 Block of West County Line Road. A woman had reported that she was assaulted by her husband. The woman was taken to Doylestown Hospital for evaluation and her husband, a 21-year-old man, was arrested and charged with Strangulation, Simple Assault, and Harassment. After being arraigned, he was transported to Bucks County Prison.
  • Upon routine patrols, a known subject was observed walking into Wawa on Street Road. After completing a check, warrants were confirmed on the individual with Bucks and Montgomery County. The 42-year-old man was handcuffed and transported back to Police Headquarters to be picked up by Bucks County Sherriff's Department.
