YARDLEY, PA — A memory care community in Yardley will be hosting a benefit concert for dementia research at the Newtown Theatre on Aug. 10.

Artis Senior Living of Yardley, located at 765 Stony Hill Rd., will be hosting the event, which will feature music from the Phil Collins tribute band, Hello, I Must Be Going!, a Bucks County-based group.

All proceeds from the event will go to the memory care center's partner, Penn Memory Center, a branch of the University of Pennsylvania Health System that works with people 65 and older "seeking evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, information, and research opportunities related to symptoms of progressive memory loss, and accompanying changes in thinking, communication and personality."

The upcoming Newtown event will be Artis' first endeavor into raising money for Penn Memory Center, according to Betsy Szamboti, Director of Community Relations for Artis Senior Living of Yardley.

"We’ve been partnering with Penn Memory Center since 2017," Szamboti told Patch in a phone interview. "But this is the first time we’ve done a benefit for them."

"It’s a wonderful collaboration," Szamboti said.

Hello, I Must Be Going!, has been performing in and around the Bucks County area for over a decade, making its way through Philadelphia, New York City, and Connecticut, to name a few other areas.

"The band is looking to do benevolent acts," Szamboti told Patch.

According to the group's frontman, Al Caserta, the band is not taking any pay from the performance, as all ticket sales will go to Penn Memory Center and their work in dementia research.

"It's for a great cause," Caserta told Patch. "A win-win for everybody."

Caserta says that the band mostly performs songs from Phil Collins' solo career, but that they do "dabble in Genesis".

"We’re doing a couple of new things too," he said.

With about 100 tickets sold so far, Caserta and his band are hopeful that the event will sell out soon.

"The band is looking forward to it," Caserta said.

Tickets for the event are $35 and can be acquired by scanning the QR code in the image above.

"It's going to be a great night for a great cause," Szamboti said.
