April Vacation Programs at Parks & Rec

The week of April 17 is school vacation, and the Town is offering day trips and activities.

The East Greenwich Parks and Recreation Department is offering five days of trips and activities for area children, in grades 1-6, during the April Vacation. Children may either sign up for a whole day of activities or simply a trip or a project. Registrations began on Wednesday, March 22nd. EG Residents may sign up online as long as they have a pre-approved online account. For paper registrations, get your form to the office before the first day of registration as the office will begin enrolling lottery style on March 22nd. The best chance of getting your selection will be via the online process as classes will fill. Camper-ships and reduced fees are available for those on public assistance.

The office will be open for the vacation week programs at 8:30am and close at 5:00pm, for those needing extending care. Children will participate in the scheduled trips and activities. No alternative activities are planned, so sign up early to secure a spot as space is limited. There is an extra fee for the extended day.
Activities begin on Monday, April 17th with a visit from a mad scientist for a Mad Science Workshop! Participants will build and create their own rockets which will then be launched at the conclusion of the program. This class will take place from 9:00-11:00 AM in the parks & recreation program room.
