NK Chamber Names Top Performer At National KidWind Competition

NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI — The North Kingstown Chamber of Commerce has named Exeter/West Greenwich High School as a Top Performer in the 2021 National KidWind Wind Turbine Challenge.

In May, the NK Chamber hosted the WindWinRI program with KidWind, an an educational organization focused on teaching people about renewable energy. Exeter/West Greenwich High School won first place, which qualified them to compete in the National KidWind Challenge on June 10th.

“We are so proud of all of the students in Rhode Island who competed in our first Rhode Island High School Virtual Wind Turbine Competition," said Kristin Urbach, Executive Director of the North Kingstown Chamber of Commerce and WindWinRI Career Pathway Program.

"Congratulations to Exeter/West Greenwich High School for being named a Top Performer in the 2021 National KidWind Challege and to Amy Biagioni, team leader and Science Teacher at Exeter/West Greenwich High School," she continued.
