The chairman of the Austin Chamber of Commerce's Air Services Task Force, Doug Driskill, applauded the bolstered service, noting it comes on the heels of new flights to and from Amsterdam by another carrier and enhanced service to and from Mexico City by Aeromexico.

"For the second time this week a major airline has strengthened its commitment to Austin, its airport, and the Central Texas region," Driskill said in a prepared statement. "Frontier Airlines’ new flights are another example of Austin Bergstrom International Airport being a desired destination for domestic and international carriers alike. We are excited about the new Frontier flights, the affordable fares they are offering, the opportunity they represent for our business community to continue creating jobs and expanding their markets, and thank Frontier for their confidence in our region.”
