LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — Gunfire struck homes in two separate shooting in eastern Loudoun County over the weekend, the county sheriff's office said.

No injuries were reported in the two shootings, which damaged homes in Sterling and Ashburn.

Authorities have not identified any suspects in connection with the shooting.

The first shooting of the weekend occurred around 2 a.m. on Saturday in the 21000 block of Leatherleaf Circle in Sterling. Investigators said bullets struck an occupied home and a vehicle on Community Plaza.

The second shooting was reported at 10 p.m. in the 21500 block of Ashburn's Schoolhouse Court. Again, a bullet struck an occupied home, the sheriff's office said.

Authorities have not said whether the two events may be connected.

An additional shooting on Sunday night left a man injured outside his home in Sterling. The victim had an argument with the suspect before the shooting, authorities said.

"We urge anyone with information about this incident to come forward and assist in our investigation," the sheriff's office said in a news release. "Your cooperation is vital in helping us to ensure the safety of the community."
