Join the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s National Capital Area Chapter for this annual memorial dedicated to the 800,000+ lives lost each year to suicide. In 2022 (the most recent data we have from the CDC), we lost 49,476 Americans, including 1,211 Virginians and 28 local residents here in Loudoun County, to this preventable leading cause of death. We invite you to remember these individuals and all who have been impacted by suicide at this important community event. From 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM, personalized luminarias made by our <a href="https://afsp.org/Loudoun" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Loudoun Out of the Darkness</a> Walk participants and other loss survivors will be displayed at Mervin Jackson Park. During that time, visitors to the memorial will also have the opportunity to create your own personal luminaria on-site and add it to the display.

It's our August PUZZLE PALOOZA FAMILY FUN DAY! Bring in those old puzzles and exchange them for some new ones to keep you occupied on these hot Summer days! Feeling brave? Sign up for our competition and put those skills to the test! This is for our in-person competition at Crooked Run Fermentation in Sterling, VA on Sundays, August 18th and 25th at 12:30pm EST. If you would like to sign up for the virtual option, please check out that event.
Join us on the Nectar side of Crooked Run Fermentation to compete, swap puzzles, and have a great time!We will be offering four divisions for our Puzzle Competition: Individual, Couple, Group (up to 4), and Blind. Puzzle competition divisions run at the same time, you may pick only one category to enter. Competition Starts at 12:30pm. This category is NEW and WILD! Our Blind Competition puzzlers will receive the puzzle pieces to a 300 piece puzzle but will NOT get a box or a phone. You’ll only get the theme. WHAT?! Yes, that’s right. You’ll rely on vibes, hopes, and prayers to be the fastest to assemble a puzzle that you’ve never seen before!
Individual and couple team puzzles will be 300 piece puzzles and group teams will be 500 pieces that contestants will not see until the start of the competition. So start practicing those puzzling skills now! All puzzle competition participants will need to register in advance. A limited number of day-of spots may be available and will be announced closer to the event date.&nbsp;
Puzzle Exchange Bring in your gently used puzzles (with all their pieces) and leave them for someone else to try or swap them out for one of the others in the exchange! 
Looking for something more casual? We will have board games and puzzles available for use, or you can bring your favorite board game, Magic the Gathering deck, DnD campaign, puzzle, or card game from home and spend the afternoon playing with friends, family, and the best craft brews and cocktails in NoVa!&nbsp;
As always, enjoy a Sunday brunch from Daybreak or tacos from Sr. Ramon right on site to keep you fueled for a fun-filled Puzzle day!
