Dead Dogs, Animals In Unsafe Conditions Found At Loudoun Facility

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — A Loudoun County residence branded as a dog training facility is being investigated after dead dogs and other animals in poor conditions were found.

Loudoun County Animal Services began investigating on July 25 after receiving a complaint about a home on Sam Fred Road in Middleburg. The residence, has advertised "White Columns K-9 Training" and "White Columns Australian Shepherds" and has been a pet boarding facility.

Animal officers found dead dogs and 24 dogs and cats "living in conditions that posed an immediate threat to their life, health and safety," according to animal services. All animals are being kept by Loudoun County Animal Services pending a custody hearing in Loudoun County General District Court at 10 a.m. on Aug. 7.

Loudoun County Animal Services is seeking information from anyone who may have sold dogs to or adopted dogs from the facility or whose pets were boarded at the residence.
