ASHBURN, VA — A two-vehicle crash in Ashburn Thursday afternoon killed one driver, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office. The victim has not yet been identified.

Authorities said the accident was reported about 1:30 p.m. Thursday near Waxpool Road and Red Rum Drive, and involved a car and an SUV.

The driver of the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene. The SUV driver was not treated for any injuries at the scene.

The names of the drivers are not being released at this time, and no cause for the accident has been announced.
