LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — The Dulles Area Association of Realtors is joining the LGBTQ+ Housing Alliance, the organization announced on Thursday. The DAAR said it hopes to promote and foster diversity, equity and inclusion in the real estate community.

The housing alliance, which was founded in June 2020, is a non-profit organization that works to empower members of the LGBTQ+ community on the path to homeownership.

Amanda Brewer is the CEO for the Dulles Area Association of Realtors. "DAAR is excited to partner with the LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance to help advance fair and equal access to housing for members of the LGBTQ+ community,” Brewer said in a news release. “This partnership directly reflects the commitment DAAR has made to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and the priority we have placed on DEI efforts throughout our 2022-2024 Strategic Plan.”

Since launching in 2020, the LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance has grown to include 2,600 members across 50 chapters.

"The Alliance is dedicated to enhancing the professional lives of its members while providing consumers with the proper resources to assist in buying, selling, and enjoying their homes," the realtors association said in a news release.
