"When I learned that there are students in schools who are hungry and food insecure, I wanted to help immediately. No child should have to worry about when their next meal is coming. They should just focus on being a kid and doing well in school so they can better themselves and their families’ situation. I hope my family and FFN can eventually make an impact and decrease the number of kids who are food insecure in our local schools. I encourage others to help support this worthy cause." – Bharati Jain

Our goal is to raise $25k to help children attend school ready to learn and succeed in the new school year. Don’t miss this opportunity to double your impact on middle and high school students in Arlington, Fairfax, and Loudoun counties! Participating schools near you include:

  • Belmont Ridge Middle School

Food For Neighbors is a local, 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and we greatly appreciate the generosity of The Bharati and Lincoln Jain Foundation and community members like you. With your support, we can continue:

  • Helping middle and high schools to establish pantries,
  • Mobilizing thousands of community members to fill them with food and toiletries, and,
  • For the most vulnerable, providing grocery store gift cards to shop for most-needed items, like fresh fruits and vegetables.

We currently have 47 school partners connecting these vital resources with approximately 8,300 students, most of whom receive some type of support at least once a week. This reliable, easily-accessible support helps students grow and learn, which lifts up them, their families, and our community as a whole. Thank you for making a difference with us!
