LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — A new park is being designed for construction in Aldie, next to Lightridge High School. This month, county staff is hosting a public meeting to answer questions and inform residents about the project.

The park, currently called Dulles South Community Park, is in its earliest design stage. Construction on the project would not be completed until Summer 2028, based on a timeline provided by Loudoun County.

The meeting is scheduled for Oct. 26 at 7 p.m. at the Gum Spring Library, Meeting Room A in Stone Ridge. Residents who are not able to attend the meeting in person can submit comments online by Nov. 14.

Presentation slides from the meeting will also be posted online by Oct. 28.

As proposed, the park could include playgrounds, picnic areas, and trails. There would also be baseball, softball, or other athletic fields. "The athletic fields will be built in a manner that maintains the western woods that are currently present on the property," the county said online.
