Sky Zone Trampoline Park Closed In Cascades Marketplace Spot Slated For Development

STERLING, VA — With residential development slated for a section of Cascades Marketplace in Sterling, one of the major tenants has closed its doors.

Sky Zone Trampoline Park at 21070 Southbank Street closed on Sunday, the business announced over the weekend. Sky Zone is looking for another location but has not made an announcement yet. The nearest Sky Zone location is in Manassas.

"Thank you so much for all the years of leaps and laughs – but it’s not goodbye, it’s see you again soon!" Sky Zone Sterling shared on Facebook. "We are looking for a new home and can’t wait to welcome you into our new location to keep the good times rolling."

Much of the block where Sky Zone was located will be set aside for future residential development. In December 2023, the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors approved zoning to allow residential redevelopment on one block, according to Loudoun Now. The redevelopment plan, which Supervisor Juli Briskman (D-Algonkian) worked on with Willard Retail, came as the shopping center has been struggling with vacancies. The plans for townhouses and multifamily units do not affect the blocks anchored by Giant Food, Onelife Fitness and Home Depot. Construction is already underway on the Villas at Cascades stacked townhouses.

Other new additions to Cascades Marketplace are coming sooner — new restaurants Taco Bamba, Shake Shack and Chiko. French-style Brasserie Royale from the Local Provisions team is expected to open in early 2025, according to Loudoun County Economic Development.
