STERLING, VA — Two men pulled a victim from his car and stabbed him multiple times outside the Dulles Town Center mall in Sterling on Friday, the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said.

Authorities only described the victim as an adult man. His injuries were not life-threatening, and he received treatment at an area hospital.

One suspect was described as a man between 5 feet, 6 inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall. He had a stocky build and was wearing blue jeans, a yellow shirt, a black jacket, black gloves, and a black ski mask.

The other suspect was tall and slender, the police report said. He was wearing black pants, a blue shirt, a black jacket, black gloves, and a black ski mask.

The stabbing occurred around 9:45 p.m. on Friday, the sheriff's office said. The victim said he had left the mall and got into his vehicle when two masked men approached.

"The males opened the vehicle door, pulled the victim out, and stabbed him multiple times before fleeing in a dark-colored four-door sedan," the sheriff's office report said. "Detectives are looking into the motive behind the assault, and the case remains under investigation."
