4 Injured In 2-Vehicle Crash On I-66 Near Nutley Street Exit: Report

Four people were hospitalized late Sunday night for injuries they received from a two-vehicle crash on I-66, according to reports.

FAIRFAX, VA — Four people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Sunday night on I-66 near the Nutley Street/Vienna exit, according to reports.

Fairfax County Fire & Rescue Department responded around 11:15 p.m. to the westbound lanes of I-66 prior to the Nutley Street exit, according a department spokeswoman.

One of the vehicles involved in the crash was on fire and I-66 West was temporarily closed to traffic, as fire crews worked to extinguish the blaze.

Four people involved in the crash were taken to the hospital to be treated for non life-threatening injuries.

Virginia State Police are investigating the circumstances that led to the crash, according to a VSP spokeswoman.
