Voting Requirements and Registration

Residents can check their voter registration status online. In 2022, Virginia eliminated voter registration deadlines. Voters can now register on Election Day and vote using a provisional ballot.

Voters can only vote in one party's primary in Virginia, but they do not have to register in advance. At their polling site, voters will indicate which party's primary they would like to vote in.

Voters can find their polling place online. The Prince William County Office of Elections operates a website that allows voters to view sample ballots for upcoming races.

Unofficial election results will start to come in after polls close on the Virginia Department of Elections website. Follow Patch on Election Day for live coverage of congressional election results.
