MANASSAS, VA — A Home2 Suites by Hilton hotel will open in the City of Manassas, the city's economic development division announced Wednesday.

The hotel is planned at The Landing at Cannon Branch located along Gateway Boulevard near the Route 28 and Godwin Drive intersection. The Landing at Cannon Branch, a mixed-use community with 275 luxury homes, 20,000-square-feet of office space and 98-room Tru by Hilton hotel, broke ground in 2018.

"Home2 Suites is an ideal addition to The Landing at Cannon Branch," said Manassas Mayor Michelle Davis-Younger in a statement. "This new hotel adds to the City’s sense of place while also serving some of Virginia’s largest corporations and employers. The hotel will especially benefit our Manassas Regional Airport, the state’s busiest general aviation airport, as it expands to offer commercial services in 2025."

The Home2 Suites by Hilton will be an 100-room extended stay property geared toward business and leisure travelers. Amenities will include complimentary breakfast, on-site convenience store and community meeting space.

"The Home2 Suites by Hilton, with its extended-stay concept, perfectly complements the next door Tru by Hilton by offering a more versatile accommodation option," said Ryan Morgan, vice president at Purpose Lodging. "While Tru provides a vibrant and efficient stay for short-term travelers, Home2 caters to guests needing longer-term stays with its spacious suites and fully equipped kitchens."

Owner and operator Purpose Lodging will invest $20 million to open the hotel and will create 50 jobs. Purpose Lodging is also behind the Hilton Harden Inn in Haymarket.
