Prince William County Fair Returns For 9 Days Of Rides, Shows, Food And More

From rides and food to animal shows and pageants, here's what to expect at the 2024 Prince William County Fair.

MANASSAS, VA — After a drenching few days from the Debby remnants, the skies should clear up for a weekend of fun at the Prince William County Fair.

The county fair kicks off at 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9 and runs through Saturday, Aug. 17. It places place at the Prince William County Fair Grounds Expo & Event Center, 10624 Dumfries Road, Manassas, VA. Attendees can buy tickets at the gate, as online tickets are no longer available.

There's something for all ages at the county fair, from carnival rides, pony rides, petting zoo and a kid's fun zone to food, crafters, vendors, auctions, competitions, dog and wildlife shows, live performances and more.

The pageant is a favorite tradition at the fair. Competitions will be held for different age levels, from the Teeny Baby Miss and Mister (1 month to 11-month-olds) to Miss (17 to 22-year-olds). The Miss and Miss Teen Pageant starts at 6 p.m. Friday in the Show Barn, Pre-Teen, Little Miss and Tiny Miss Pageants will be held at 2:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Saturday, respectively, and Baby Ms/Mr, Wee Baby Ms/Mr, and Teeny Baby Ms/Mr will be held at at 2:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Sunday, respectively.

The fair opens at 5 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 9, Monday, Aug. 12, Wednesday, Aug. 14, Thursday, Aug. 15, and Friday, Aug. 16. It opens at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 10, Sunday, Aug. 11, Tuesday, Aug. 13 and Saturday, Aug. 17. Admission at the gate is $25 for adults and $15 for children, except on Tuesday, Aug 13, when it is half off from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Seniors ages 65 and up can get free entry on Monday, Aug. 12. Rides have an additional cost.
