Suspect Identified, Wanted For Killing Of Woman Found In Wooded Area In Manassas

Prince William County Police are searching for a wanted suspect in the homicide of an 18-year-old woman in Manassas.

MANASSAS, VA — Prince William County detectives have identified a suspect in the July 18 killing of an 18-year-old woman in the Manassas area.

The investigation into the homicide in the area of Pineview Road and Cregger Lane in Manassas led detectives to obtain arrest warrants for German Joseth Torres Lizama. Police have not been able to locate the suspect, who is wanted on charges of murder and use of a firearm in commission of a felony. He is described as a Hispanic man around 5 foot 4 and 150 pounds with black hair, brown eyes and tattoos on both hands and abdomen.

Officers had found the 18-year-old victim with gunshot wounds in a wooded area. The woman, identified as Ashlin Yamileth Paz, 18, of no fixed address, was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to detectives, the suspect and victim knew each other, and they likely had an altercation during a planned meeting at the location. Police had been searching for a 2017 blue Hyundai Elantra sports edition in connection with the homicide and previously found it unoccupied in Fairfax County.
